Hello, I’m Lesa Helstrom.

I am a freelance writer, editor, proofreader, and detail-focused documentation and administrative support professional with more than 50 years of experience.

Throughout the years, I have worked in many different environments, including government support, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, law enforcement, and technical documentation. Each role added to the skills I still use today: clear communication, strong organization, accuracy, confidentiality, proofreading, document handling, typing, and careful attention to detail.

My background includes writing, editing, data entry, document review, quality control, file organization, office support, and business-related coursework such as bookkeeping, typing, office practice, and accounting studies. Because of that mix of training and real-world experience, I am comfortable helping with a wide variety of freelance projects, from resumes and rewritten documents to spreadsheets, recordkeeping tools, and polished written content.

I enjoy work that helps bring order and clarity to information. Whether I am proofreading a document, cleaning up a draft, entering data, creating a budgeting template, or helping someone present themselves more professionally, I take pride in doing the work carefully and well.

I have also written books under a pen name, which is one part of my writing background. However, this website is designed to highlight my freelance services and professional experience under my own name, Lesa Helstrom.
